Aldipress is the leading distributor of magazines for single-issue sale in the Netherlands. Daily, Aldipress supplies nearly 9000 points of sale with a range of 650 magazine titles, specials, novels, crossword and comic books. A sophisticated distribution method helps Aldipress to offer each store the optimal range and correct quantities of every issue. To replace its self-built system, Aldipress looked for a data warehouse that could supply sales figures more rapidly, allowed for expansion in the field of marketing support, and facilitated Internet-access for suppliers and resellers.

Aldipress opted for SAP BW in combination with its existing SAP R/3 ERP system. Magnus was tasked to implement the SAP BW system and to develop an extranet application for business partners. As part of the project, 120 million data records were converted and transposed one-on-one to the new system.

A distribution partner for HERO Supermarkets, Davids provides warehouse and logistics services and specializes in the supermarket business.

In order to improve their data collaboration with participating supermarkets, Davids takes advantage of Magnus’ M2M platform technology and know-how to create the web exchange and monitor all important business documents between the supermarkets and their chain stores and suppliers. Currently, the project is in its pilot phase.

As a leading supermarket chain in Indonesia, HERO supermarkets improved their document collaboration between its head office, suppliers, warehouse and chain stores.

Magnus provided the M2M exchange platform for electronic business documents via the web.

The system is currently in its pilot phase. Magnus support extended to training, integration services, and monitoring.

Hunkemöller is the a leading European producer and sales company in lingerie for women. In order to enable close interaction with its physical stores, strengthen brand perception, improve customer service and open new markets through this new channel, retailer

Honkemöller asked Magnus to develop an Internet business plan. The task was executed in close co-operation with e-marketing specialist Strawberries. Due to the quality of the plan, Magnus was asked to design and realize the integrated Internet environment.

Special attention was paid to ensuring the coherence between the Internet functionality and Hunkemöller's existing back-end business processes.

Intrastore Intrastore

Intrastore is an Internet company that sells personal hygiene products via the web. Their differentiator is that delivery is done through participating chain stores, where products are stored in personal hygienic lockers.

In order to support the business model, Magnus was tasked to design and develop an application based on Microsoft Windows 2000, which will fully integrate with the financial back-end system and the web front-end.

Additionally, the system called for easy integration to systems and applications of various external partners through the use of XML technology and eXML standards. As part of the project Magnus also improved IntraStore CRM and marketing management.

A B2B procurement solution (Oracle/Java) was built that integrates to the Oracle ERP system. The solution aimed to enhance integration between the hypermarkets and the respective suppliers (amounting to 3,300 in Thailand only).

The following core functionalities were included:

  • Online retrieval of purchase orders
  • Status monitoring of outstanding purchase orders
  • Online monitoring of payments
  • Download of payment documents (debit notes, credit notes, etc.)
  • Statistical reports on stock levels and sales (15 reports)
  • Promotions - Online reservation for advertising space (banners)
  • Migration from EDI to EDI/XML technology

Following the roll out of the B2B system to MAKRO Indonesia, MAKRO outsourced the training session to Magnus Indonesia. More than 300 suppliers have been trained until mid of 2003.

Initiated by Hunter Douglas, a world leading manufacturer of window coverings, Tapestria aims to become the leading Internet destination for trade buyers and suppliers of interior fabrics. It enables interior designers to directly source fabrics from prestigious manufacturers at highly competitive prices, quickly and easily, dramatically streamlining the ordering and distribution processes.

Tapestria is an advanced, new type of marketplace. It functions as a mix between an Internet wholesaler and an eMarketplace, earning a distribution margin. Tapestria offers both suppliers and buyers the advantages of an advanced operational infrastructure and full order processing (end-to-end eFulfillment). It organizes the marketing and distribution processes.

Magnus was tasked to design and develop the e-Marketplace with full integration with external third parties.
